Rosey’s Unique Products makes many original works of art that can’t be found anywhere else in the world with this attention to quality and design. Our primary products include Moving Sand Pictures and hand-crafted Jewelery.
Moving Sand Pictures became popular in the 1970′s using improvements on dry-sand sealed in glass. Today, with technology we have discovered fluid motion using various types of originally designed techniques. Our Jewelery is one of a kind hand-crafted stone settings and wire bindings that catch the eye and are of utmost quality.
How-To Adjust your Moving Sand Picture
1. Remove the picture from its stand.
2. Remove the dowel pins.
3. Shake the sand to one end of the picture away from the opening you chose to use.
4. Using a 3cc hypodermic syringe with a 22 gauge needle, approx 1-1/2” long (purchase: local veterinary supply or farmers’ co-op). With the plunger pulled all the way back pierce the seal, remove the plunger from the syringe. Let the picture pull or push out air and or fluid as it needs to balance with its environment.
5. With the pressure balanced, remove fluid if more air is needed. The same holds up to fluid being needed. The air bubbles should optimally fill near the space of a quarter placed in the corner of the picture as seen in the photos.
Note: The more air bubbles in the sand picture, the slower it will run. The slower moving pictures form sharp peaks. With less air bubbles in the sand picture, the faster it will run. Faster pictures tend to form a wave-like effect.
